Toyota Hilux 3.0 with Alu-Cab Khaya Camper
This Toyota Hilux is equipped with the amazing, rugged, 3.0-liter diesel engine and an automatic gearbox. The car was purchased by us with only 21,000 km on the odometer and has since been fully modified for overland travel. The current mileage is around 76,000 km (still being driven).
Here are some of the modifications made:
- Completely new suspention from Ironman (including lift and special control arms)
- Extra air suspension at the rear
- Upgrade of maximum weight on the registration to 3482kg at the RDW
- Ironman 4×4 bumper with (removable) bulbar
- Steel rims with BFGoodrich KO2 265-65-17 tires (original alloy rims still available)
- Ironman spotlights
- Osram LED lightbar
- Ironman long-range fuel tank (145 liters)
- Dual battery system (2 batteries under the hood and 1 additional battery in the camper unit)
- All non-vehicle components (such as the fridge, reading light, etc.) are separated from the start battery
- Extra lighting in the rear compartment
- MXN screen with rearview mirror camera and reversing camera (automatic switching) + extra reversing camera via the radio screen (three cameras)
- Alucab luggage box on removable load bars
The camper unit is from the brand Alu-Cab Khaya Comfort (new price €29,900 excluding all options). Fully equipped with:
- 270-degree awning
- Shower cabin
- Pull-out table with holder under the overhang
- Kitchen unit with 2 gas burners, sink, pull-out cutting board, and 2 roll drawers
- 80L water tank
- Solar panel
- 7 bi-color LED lights
- Extra work lights at the rear (Ironman)
- Shower cube
- Reading lights and USB connections
- Air heater (optional, value €1,800)
- Fridge (optional value € 1,100)
- Rieco lift system (optional, value €1,180)
- Gas bottle holder (optional) • Etc.
In a nutshell: a super complete travel vehicle that is fully ready to go on an adventures journey. All modifications were carried out by certified companies, most of them by 4WD Specialist, Zeeland (NB).
